Idea to launch

End to end from product development to market launch

How we helped a major telecommunications company enter the web hosting market.

We were given the brief to look at the web hosting market with a view to launching a set of web hosting products.

We approached the task by conducting a programme of desk research into the hosting market through existing market reports and then conducted original research into the market, the competition and products and services available. At the end of this programme of work we delivered a set of recommendations which included the product strategy to adopt, market positioning, and an outline service description of the products and their features.

We constructed the business case identifying the revenues expected, the costs and capital required to fund the project.

From these results we were then asked to integrate our team into the company’s product management and development departments and to accelerate the project through their product development process.

Hyperdestiny played a central role in the development of the web hosting products and in the product management team for the lifecycle of the project. Our team managed the development including liaison with the necessary functional groups within the organisation and external suppliers.

At the end of the engagement a 140,000 square foot Internet Solutions Centre was opened launching a portfolio of Internet Services and Web Hosting Services. These services went on to turn over £50m in their first year of operation.
