Global analysis and business case development

How we conducted and coordinated marketing research and analysis from around the globe.

We were asked by a global telecommunications company to conduct research and analysis of the messaging market with a view to development of a unified messaging product that would be deployed globally.

Our programme of work included collection of market information from key regions including UK, USA, Hong Kong, Jamaica and Australian markets and identification of the key features that service would need to offer as well as determination of the underlying technology required. What’s more the technology platform needed to support regional differences, and so the feature set developed needed to provide the ability to customise according to regional market differences.

An important element of the project was to identify customer needs and we facilitated this through a series of carefully constructed customer focus groups in each of the regions.

We conducted a competitor analysis and a product audit and looked at the potential technology vendors in the market from both a local and global level. After completing the analysis we facilitated the creation of regional business cases to feed a global case with different regional requirements for a ubiquitous global unified messaging platform.

Finally the results and recommendations were presented to the board who then made a decision to move the project forward to the next level.
